Autistic Spectrum (AS) mentoring is delivered by specialists trained in mentoring autistic adults who meet the standards of the National Autistic Society.
Mentoring sessions incorporate specifically tailored, one-to-one support aimed at helping clients address the barriers to learning attributed to having a brain that processes information differently.
The support could address a range of issues, for example:
- Coping with anxiety and stressful situations
- How to deal with concentration difficulties
- Time management
- Exploring strategies to deal with change and transition.
- Exploring strategies to deal with challenges in social and personal interactions.
- Goal setting
- Timetabling
- Prioritising workload
- Creating a suitable work-life balance
