Matthew Hancock

Matthew is an experienced Mentor who draws from his own experience as a neurodivergent individual to help students in higher education fulfill their potential and achieve outstanding success in their studies and careers. Matthew started mentoring because he felt he could make a difference for students while completing his PhD.

Matthew also delivers assistive technology training and is an experienced user in this technology as it has helped him overcome his profound dyslexia, enabling him to achieve his academic potential.

Matthew has worked in the conservation and restoration of large industrial objects for national museums and is currently researching for his PhD the effects of oil in protective coatings on corrosion and methods to mitigate this.

Before Matthew entered the conservation and restoration industry, he worked in the media mainly as a photographer and picture editor but was involved in digital imaging in the early years and has experience with software and software training.
