Specialist Mentoring (Autistic Spectrum)

Autistic Spectrum (AS) mentoring is delivered by specialists trained in mentoring autistic adults who meet the standards of the National Autistic Society.

Mentoring sessions incorporate specifically tailored, one-to-one support aimed at helping clients address the barriers to learning attributed to having a brain that processes information differently. The support could address a range of issues, for example;

  • coping with anxiety and stressful situations
  • how to deal with concentration difficulties
  • time management
  • exploring strategies to deal with change and transition.
  • exploring strategies to deal with challenges in social and personal interactions.
  • goal setting
  • timetabling
  • prioritising workload
  • creating a suitable work-life balance
