Support for students in Years 10-13

NeuroKnowHow offers Specialist 1-1 support for Dyslexia and Spld and ADHD Coaching tailored to the individual’s needs.

1-1 specialist support tutoring for Key stage 4 (Years 10 and 11)

Tailored to the individual’s needs. Can include:

  • Addressing learning anxiety
  • Learning preferences
  • Writing skills
  • Establishing learning priorities
  • Revision strategies and effective exam techniques
  • Memory Strategies
  • Reading comprehension (incorporating Super-reading techniques)
  • Time management & organisation
  • Assistive Technology (accessing free open-source software)

Study Skills for GCSE (usually Autumn term in October)

Focus on effective revision strategies and exam techniques

For Years 12 and 13

Sessions are tailored to the individual’s needs and can include:

  • Preparing for University
  • How to navigate the DSA funding process
  • Addressing learning anxiety
  • Learning preferences
  • Writing skills: assignments and essays
  • Establishing learning priorities
  • Revision strategies and effective exam techniques
  • Memory Strategies
  • Reading comprehension (incorporating Super-reading techniques)
  • Reading for research
  • Time management & organisation
  • Assistive Technology (accessing free open-source software)

*For students with a diagnosis of ADHD:  Joseph Aquilina can provide Study Skills tuition using his expertise and training in ADHD to tailor the session appropriately and keep up focus and interest.

ADHD Coaching

Coaching assists those with a diagnosis of ADHD to stay focused on their goals, face obstacles, address core ADHD-related issues like time management, organization, and self-esteem, gain clarity and function more effectively.

Our coach provides encouragement, recommendations, feedback, and practical techniques such as memory strategies, study skills, calendar monitoring, mindfulness and assistive technology
